Day 1

Hanoi Arrival

Your driver and guide will welcome you at the airport and take you to the hotel for check in. Free and relax.

Day 2

Hanoi - Cooking Class - City tour

This morning, your tour guide will take you to the cooking class. Discover a local market and learn about ingredients, flavors and see how the local prepare for meals. Next is a short talk on the art of Hanoian gastronomy, vegetables, herbs & spices & learn how to prepare & use them. The Chef will share to you her pride of Vietnamese cuisines and the secrets how to make it good. Enjoy the local food in Hanoi style.
In the afternoon you will explore Vietnam’s charming capital. With its wide tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and ancient oriental pagodas, Hanoi is an eclectic mix that offers something for everyone. Your city tour will take you to Hanoi’s key sites: the Temple of Literature; Hoa Loa Prison (formerly known as the “Hanoi Hilton” during the Vietnam War); West Lake including the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda & Quan Thanh Temple.

Day 3

Hanoi - Halong Bay cruise

After breakfast at the hotel, set out a 4 hours drive to the World Heritage Site: Halong bay.
Arrive at Tuan Chau island – Take break and welcome drink at Pelican Halong Cruise Lounge
Transfer to Pelican Halong Cruise
Welcome drink - receive cruise briefing, safety instructions and check in. Start cruising and explore Halong Bay - one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.
Enjoy buffet lunch with Vietnamese dishes served while cruising through the bay, passing the most beautiful and quiet areas, such as Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock, Soi Sim beach, Coconut Three Island
Visiting Luon cave, the perfect combination of lime-stone mountains and jade-green sea by bamboo boat with local people. Enjoy quiet space and pure air, you will feel relaxed truly. If you are lucky, you will see monkeys on islands.
Visiting the beautiful Ti Top beach for swimming (if the weather permits), Ti Top Beach is especially famous for its fresh atmosphere, clean water, and smooth white sand that create a great ambiance for tourists to relax or passengers can take steps to reach on the top of Ti Top beach to have a whole panorama view of Halong Bay.
Back to the boat and free time while sailing to Luon Bo area, and anchor overnight.

Attend the Cooking class on sundeck – How to make Vietnamese spring rolls - traditional Vietnamese food. Then enjoy Happy Hour (Buy one drink-get one free). It is time for chit chat and relaxing. Watch the magnificent sunset over Halong Bay.
19.30 – 23.00: Dinner – Deluxe Vietnamese BBQ Set Menu Dinner
Evening activities include: Leisure time to enjoy a chat around the bar, watching movies and many sort of Vietnam cultural films, relaxing and spending a romantic night on Pelican Halong Cruise’s music, playing cards, chess are available, reading magazines in room and dining room. You may also try your luck at squid fishing & fishing from the boat.

Day 4

Halong bay cruise - Hanoi - Fly to Danang – Hoian

06.00 – 08.00: The day starts early onboard with Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Tai chi also called Tai chi chuan, combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and gentle movements.
Coffee, tea and pastries for breakfast are served in the dining room with morning view of bay’s landscape.
08.00 – 11.30: Transfer by tender to Sung Sot Cave. Walk up about 100 steps to the cave entrance. It takes approximately 45 minutes for cave visiting. Visit Sung Sot Cave, one of the biggest cave in Halong bay with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Return to the boat by tender. Proper shoes are highly recommended.
Back to Pelican Halong Cruise. Check out and settle your bill at reception.
Have a buffet brunch while cruising back to the Tuan Chau Wharf. Relaxing on the sundeck or in the dining room enjoying the bay scenery while approaching the wharf.
Disembark to Tuan Chau Wharf. Say goodbye to the crew.
Your driver will pick up and take you to the airport for flight to Danang. Arrive in Danang, pick up and check in hotel in Hoian.

Day 5

Hoian Cooking class

A fun and interesting half day, learning about Vietnamese food and the Hoi An way of life. Already in its 18th year, this popular cooking class is listed in many of the major guidebooks and on Trip Advisor.
Highlights: Boat trip from “Vy’s Market Restaurant” to Hoi An’s colorful central market. Tour of the market with an English-speaking guide followed by an interesting and informative tour of Vy’s Market Restaurant, watching live cooking demonstrations with actual involvement and many food tastings. Two-hour hands-on cooking class, lunch, recipes a Vietnamese cooking utensil to take home.
In the afternoon, free and relax.

Day 6

Hoian – City tour – Walking tour
Immerse yourself in the tranquility and charm of this sleepy riverside town. From the 16th to 18th centuries Hoian was a thriving international port frequented by Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab traders, who came to trade in the high quality silk still produced in the region. Today, Hoian is a relaxing resort popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, skilled tailors and numerous cafes. Take a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the ancient town centre, visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, the 200-year old Tan Ky ancestral house and the famous Japanese Bridge. After lunch, take a short boat trip to a nearby island and visit a handicraft village specializing in ceramics. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy a free evening at your leisure.

Day 7

Hoian - My Son Holy Land

Today you travel 40km outside of Hoian to the UNESCO World Heritage Site: My Son. Surrounded by the Cat’s Tooth Mountains, My Son is home to the ancient Cham ruins and is often referred to as Vietnam’s Angkor Wat. Return to Hoian in time for lunch then enjoy a free afternoon, for shopping, exploring or beachside relaxation.

Day 8

Hoian - Danang - Fly to Saigon

Free for shopping or relaxing.
In the afternoon, take a flight to Saigon. Arrive in Siemreap, pick up and check in hotel. Free and relax.

Day 9

Saigon - City tour - Cuchi tunnels

Depart Hotel early in the morning for Cu Chi to visit the Tunnels. Cu Chi Tunnels are a network of underground tunnels begun in 1948 by the Viet Minh in their struggle against the French. These tunnels were expanded and used by the Viet Cong during the war between Vietnam and America. Americans called this the 'Iron Triangle' and was a stronghold of the Vietcong for almost thirty years. Walk underground in the tunnels.
In the afternoon, you will take in the highlights of Ho Chi Minh starting with an exploration of Saigon's turbulent past with visits to the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. Next, sample Ho Chi Minh's finest examples of French colonial architecture with a visit to the Notre Dame cathedral and Post Office.

Day 10

Saigon - Mekong delta - cooking class
Today you travel to the Mekong River Delta on a day trip to explore the rich culture and lush fluvial landscape. After breakfast, your guide & driver will meet you at your hotel and take you to Cai Be. Start your tour with a visit to Cai Be’s colorful floating market, cruising among the local barges stuffed-full of fruits and vegetables. Visit some local workshops then enjoy a cooking class at a local house in the cool shade of An Binh Island’s orchards. In the afternoon, take a traditional rowboat and venture deeper into the countryside, floating through narrow canals to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Stop at a nursery garden to discover how farmers along the delta produce their world-famous fruits and vegetables. Your driver will meet you at the dock and take you back to Saigon.

Day 11

Saigon – Fly to Siemreap – Tonle Sap

This morning, leave Saigon for Siemreap. Arrive in Siemreap, pick up and check in hotel (early check in subject to availability).
In the afternoon, you will visit Tonle Sap. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a “floating village” – boats have been converted to look like houses and the “village” move from place to place following water levels. We continue to one of the city’s lively open markets, Psar Chass, called the “Old Market”, where you can know more about the local life!

Day 12

Siemreap – Angkor tour

For the early birds and photographers, we offer morning tours for those who want to see the sunrise upon the Angkor Temples.

This takes place from 4.30 AM till 6AM and after sunrise we’ll return to town for breakfast

After breakfast at the hotel your day starts with visiting South Gate of Angkor Thom, with its majestic doors, monumental temple of Bayon facing the tropical forest and Baphuon and Phimeanakas Mountains.

Later, visit the Elephant Terrace, Terrace of the Leper King and Takeo "Jewel of Crystal", which is dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva and was erected at the end of the 10th century. You won’t miss Ta Prohm Temple, which is a wonderful combination of human genius and natural beauty with its giant trees that have grown there for centuries. Return to town for lunch at Tonle Sap restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was constructed by Suryavarman II who reined Cambodia from 1113 to 1152 and built the five towers in the 12th century and dedicated them to the Hindu God Vishnu. The plan of the pyramidal conception of the temple combined with spaces, alleys and ditches is an ancient masterpiece of architectural design and construction.

Day 13

Siemreap – Departure
